Since the wild fire of 22nd August.
Pagodas 1 4 5 and 6 are currently under a clean up program but without electricity and may be ready for use as early as Sat 11th September .
Pagoda 7 burnt down .
The Gazebo lost two pains of glass the glazier is coming w/c 6 September.
Pagoda 2 and 3 are the same as ever with electricity and unaffected by fire or smoke.
The shower and toilet facilities burnt down.
There will be no shower unit and outdoor toilets until the 2011 - Guests booked into pagodas for the remainder of this 2010 season are asked to use the facilities in both Roca and its sister Villa Nova. All the descriptions written below these words are out of date but remain for reference purposes only. All photographs show the pagodas surrounded by pine trees but now those trees no longer stand . We have taken them all away so the surrounding area is baron however the up side is there is much more light on Villa Roca and the buds and shoots are already sprouting through - some guests have said they actually prefer the new look !! Photos will follow in due course.
Pagodas situated in the Gardens of Villa Roca
Welcome to the Pagoda Garden. Imagine waking up to a dawn chorus of a mixture of birds singing, amoung the lush scented forest pine trees with sea breezes to keep you cool in the height of summer. Staying in the Pagoda Garden will truly benefit your mind body and soul and leave you with having had a most wonderful experience. Whether one wants to simply relax, unwind or take in the stunning scenery it is all there for the taking.
The pagoda garden is open from April to October. Prices start around £295 per person with two guests sharing.
All pagodas have two mattresses directly on the wooden floor. Bedding/blankets are provided.
Pagodas are our most basic accommodation sometimes referred to as glorified camping .
If you are travelling alone and we do not find you a 'pagoda room-mate' you will have the pagoda to yourself.
The bathroom facilities for the Pagoda Garden are outdoors and shared. These were destroyed in the fire - but we hope to have them up and running again for 2011 and notice of that will appear - here - on the site. The couple of pagodas that are in operation - the guests have the choice of using Villa Nova or Roca.
There are 2/3 showers and 2 toilets.
There is also one Gazebo that sleeps two it has wooden walls and a door .
And there are also The Teepees available they are authentically made in England.
Several are positioned together high up the garden path almost on the top of the hill way above all the pagodas.
The staff usually occupy the majority of them leaving only one or two for hire.
Teepees are our cheapest option of accommodation. Bedding is provided .
There is one shower set among them.
Lighting along the path is from solar lights and not very bright so a torch is advisable.
Included in the price for all above options is the daily 3 hour yoga class held on the roof top of Villa Roca. Plus half board food.
Pathways are lit to all the pagodas and each has its own electrical supply but it is advisable to bring a torch as a back-up.
The villa is only available for tea / coffee making, internet and phone facilities plus all meals are served on it's terrace.
The wifi only works in the Villa, the chill out area next to pagoda 2 , pagoda 2 and the terrace. It does not work anywhere else which includes all the other pagodas gazebo and teepees. If wifi is important to you , we suggest Pagoda 2 if you want to access the internet while in your own space.
The Ibiza Yoga team rate the pagodas in this order from the favourite to the least favourite 4,5,7,1,6,3,2.
All pagodas have lockable draws please bring your own padlock and key or combination lock , the size of lock that fits is anything from 1 inch square / average size.
You only need to bring this if you want to lock up your belongings.
Also it is suggested that you bring sturdy sensible shoes for walking along the paths - trainers would suffice . Plus a torch for dark nights.
Pagodas are available to non-yoga guests a discount on normal prices applies.
The pagoda garden is strictly a non smoking area. Smoking on the beach , in the beach bars and restaurants is permitted and just a 4 minute walk away.
If you are a guest of Villa Roca and you wish to do the yoga at Villa Palmas a £30 supplement applies (where spaces are available and pre-booked only).
The walk from Villa Roca to Villa Palmas is uphill and approximately 1/3 of a mile depending on your walking pace the journey will take 4-10 minutes .

Pagoda One Since the fire of 22nd August Pagoda One has a small hole in the roof too - that will be patched up in due course. The use of Villa Rocas facilities are available as there are no outdoor shower and toilet facilities - they burnt down. The garden is now void of most trees and greenery although we are planting shrubs trees bamboo bushes on a weekly basis . The pagoda has electricity. All the words below these are not necessarily accurate since the fire but I leave them there for reference purposes. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Situated in the garden on a terrace high above the Villa in a row of three pagodas over looking the valley , new villas and pine clad hills. North East Facing . It has its own electricity. Underneath are lockable draws for luggage. Fairy lights illuminate the interior, drop down blinds for total privacy and one plug socket. The pathway to this pagoda is steep and rocky and is lit at night by solar lamps. Two single beds . The path to the pagoda queen runs just passed Pagoda One . Pagoda one and two do not have any wooden walls - all the others have at least one wooden wall. Use of outdoor showers and toilets only. Pagoda Guests are only allowed to use the Kitchen & Living Room inside Villa Roca, all other rooms and facilities are for Villa Roca guests only . Pagoda Two Since the fire of 22nd August Pagoda 2 was completely unaffected and remains the same as it always has been . The difference is you are not looking a garden that is as lush as it was and the toilet / shower facilities are now shared with Villa Roca. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFeatures drop-down blinds for total privacy , single beds , interior is surrounded with fairy light and there is one electrical point. Situated on the roof of the villa above room four, close to the yoga space with views over the garden, valley and up to the Gazebo. Large lockable storage draws underneath. This pagoda is one of the closest to the outdoor shower facilities . Villa Roca facilities other than the living room and kitchen are not for the use of pagoda guests. Many of the therapies such as massage that are offered at the retreat take place on the yoga space outside of yoga class hours. This space is next door to Pagoda Two. Pagoda Three Since the fire of 22nd August 2010 Pagoda 3 remains completely intact and unaffected . Guests booked into between now 4th Sept and the end of the season need not worry about being relocated. The electricity is back on. Shower and toilet facilities are shared with Villa Roca. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Closest pagoda to the villa positioned on a terrace in the garden. It is close to room 4 and the stairs that lead to the yoga space. The least tranquil but closest to villa. Large under floor storage draws. Sleeps two with views of garden. Use of outdoor shower facilities & toilets. Pagoda Guests are only allowed to use the Kitchen & Living Room inside Villa Roca, all other rooms and facilities are for Villa Roca guests only. Pagoda Four Since the fire of 22nd August The electricity is back on . There is no damage to Pagoda 4 but the underneath draws need attention , one of them in no longer easy to open or close nor can it be locked . The garden of Villa Roca was destroyed but look the other way and the views the same. North Facing Situated on the highest terrace overlooking the villa , pagodas , Gazebo with the second best of the beautiful valley views. Fairy lights illuminate the interior, drop down blinds for total privacy ,one plug socket. The pathway to this pagoda is steep and rocky Two single beds . Pagoda Queen Five Fire News - 22nd August 2010 . The shower facilities in the photograph are no longer standing they were burnt down. Guest in pagoda garden now use the Roca facilities . The queen survived the fire and now stands with no trees around her . The electricity is back on and the drop down blinds being repaired. Features drop-down blinds for total privacy , two single beds , interior is surrounded with fairy light and there is one electrical point. Large storage draws under pagoda floor. Situated in the highest position of all pagodas on stilts surrounded by pine trees. The best views are from this pagoda Facing due East . Pagoda Six Since the fire of 22nd August Pagoda 6 has not been used although it did survive the fire. Electricity has been restored. The drop down blinds are being repaired and it stands rather alone with no trees to surround it . Guests I do not think will want to stay in this pagoda so the alternative accommodation is on offer - which is a room in Villa Nova - Roca's sister villa 100 feet away . All rooms have en suite ..All words below these are being left on the site for info purposes for when the pagoda does become operation again. The alternative accommodation is only offered to guests who booked this villa before the 22nd august for a holiday before the end of October.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Pagoda Six Features drop-down blinds for total privacy , single beds , interior is surrounded with fairy lights and there is one electrical point. There are large lockable storage draws under the pagoda floor. Access is a very steep path with a rope hand rail that we recommend is used at all times. Situated closest to shower block and to the yoga space. Over-looks the Pagoda King in the trees below. Built on the same level as the villa. Facing North East. Pagoda 6 is the second furthest from the villa, after pagoda 7. Good for privacy but it is next to the main pathway accessing the other pagoda’s and teepees. Outdoor shared shower facilities with pagoda garden guests. Villa Roca facilities other than the living room and kitchen are not for the use of pagoda guests. Retreat from April to October inclusive
The above accommodation price covers 18 hours of yoga, 7 nights shared accommodation in a pagoda (Saturday to Friday inclusive) and 4 day and 2 evening time vegetarian buffet meals. Also included on a self service basis is fruit, nuts, fruit juice, yoghurt, honey, teas, coffee, milk and breakfast cereal.
