Established in 2000 Ibiza Yoga Ltd    

Each year we have a new team , usually on a volunteer basis. All are knowledge friendly and are available to advise on relaxing and interesting ways to appreciate the area of Benirras and Ibiza.

Sarah Robbie MD

Sarah started to practice and study 'Hatha Yoga' in 1979 while modeling and living for 5 years in Tokyo Japan. In the early 90's she discovered Ashtanga yoga attending many yoga retreats worldwide and learning from some of the world's best teachers. While in New York with, Berul Bender Birch. Danny Paradise in Oxford England and had the pleasure of hosting him at the retreat back in the early 2000's. David Swenson who shared my flat in London for 3 months another one of the world's great teachers.  David Sye a local Camden town resident whom I also had the pleasure to host back in the mid 2000's.  Kahti Goupil again, I hosted and was famed for teaching Madonna, and Hugh Poulton, hosted on many occassions we met over 30 years ago in an Oxford Church hall both studying Danny Paradise. Sarah is a partial advanced yoga practitioner albeit it only in the 1st series of Ashtanga. 'Yoga changed my life and for the better. I have not met anyone yet who has said yoga has not done this for them also.

"It had long been a goal of mine to offer guests a place where they could focus and work upon their body in a creative and healthy activity. Eat delicious vegan and vegetarian food, swim in the nearby sea and breathe the fresh pine tree air.  Have fun and break from ordinary lifestyles to leave refreshed energized and perhaps see life in a new light ". This goal is accomplished with 'Ibiza Yoga' a company in its 23rd year.Over the years in the region of 16,000 guests have enjoyed the experience.

Every Sunday at 10.30am, I host the welcome meeting (when I am on-site) on the terrace of Villa Roca - where we get the opportunity to chat about your stay and discuss the many local walks and information about the island and the history of the villas you stay in.  Meet the yoga teacher and local massage therapist.

In the '80s Sarah spent many months living and modeling in both Madrid and Barcelona, Ibiza became  a number one choice location to spend some fun time. Sarah was the first unknown celebrity to appear on the cover of The Sunday Supplement of the newspaper El Pais, a small claim to fame !!. (photo below). In the UK she worked with photographers such as David Bailey & Eamonn McCabe.

From 1990 to 2004 Sarah owned and ran along with 8 employees a company named Ordinary People Ltd, a London based employment agency. The agency still supplies character actors and models to the television and advertising industry. She helped supply between 1 to 100 artistes on over 5,500 individual shoots for work that included TV Commercials, Pop Promos, Corporate Videos, BBC work and lots of photographic advertising campaigns. Credits include TV Commercials for H&M, Shredded Wheat, Head & Shoulders, Scholl. Pop videos for The Kills, Madonna, Kooks, Sugarbabes, Robbie Williams, George Michael. Photography for Hewlett Packard, Shell, Volkswagen, RAC, Virgin Media, Coca Cola, and BT. 

It is the combination of some business experience and love of yoga that has created Ibiza Yoga Ltd.

Daniel Harte

Dan is a Londoner who spent many years in the late 80's living and running his own business in Tel Aviv Israel.  He is a fully trained master painter and decorator and talented chef. General household maintenance is also a skill he learned along the way. 

In Ibiza in the late '90s, Dan spent some time at a friend’s yoga retreat, which inspired him to run his own. Once Dan discovered Villa Roca available, he knew that it would be the ideal location, because of its outstanding beauty and closeness to Benirras beach. In 2000 he started Ibiza Yoga with his partner Sarah Robbie. 

Between 2007 - 2011 Dan also ran in London his own catering company named Top Deck Catering. He converted 2 Route Master buses with seating upstairs and kitchen down. On film and TV commercial sets he cooked for Jamie Oliver, The Hairy Bikers and at the house of parliament for Ann Widdecombe. He also catered at Festivals - Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Secret Garden, Kimberley to name but a few. Dan is a foodie and a talented Vegetarian Chef.  Sometimes he cooks for the retreat but we also hire in chefs to have a variety of cooking styles. Dan does not host the retreat but answers all the emails and puts the teacher schedule together each year.

Tina Russo

Tina hails from Canada , is fluent in Italian and pretty good at French too.  She is a great yoga teacher and also helps run the retreat.  She arrived as a guest in the summer of 2018 and didnt leave !!!  We laugh about that, a little like , Hotel California, you can check in anytime you llike but you can never leave.  We make a great team and long may it last. Justin

Primarily a jewelery designer , producer , and seller of his own unique products, made , designed and manufactured in Benirras . A valuable member of the team happy to help guests with advise on the area and to help facilitate their stay.

We run a program for therapists to work on a self employed basis at the retreat please email for more info.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer program works whereby you volunteer for a few hours per day in exchange for shared accommodation and 1/2 board. If you are interested in applying please do so through our website and email a brief letter about yourself, a recent photograph, CV and relevant references.
