| Airport Bus The airport bus service departs every hour from the stop outside Arrivals, from 7.30am to 10.30pm . Tickets One Euro . The journey to the (centre of Ibiza town) terminus on Avenida Isidoro Macabich takes 20 minutes. There is plenty of luggage space. From the terminus you can get another bus to San Miguel which is the closest town to Benirras and the Ibiza Yoga Centre . From San Miguel you can get a taxi (approximate fare 10 Euros) or the walk is around 3/4 of an hour. There is no bus from San Migue to Benirras - only taxis. |
| Busses from the airport to the IY retreat www.ibizabus.com www.ibizamaps.net The number 10 or 10b goes from the airport to San Jordi (where the Saturday morning market is) then on to Ibiza Town where you change for buses to Sta Gertrudis, San miguel. From San Miguel a taxi will cost approx 10 euros Its best if guests plan their route according to their flight arrival times and time of year they book as the bus timetables change according to the season and time of week/ day etc as do taxi prices There is one bus service that goes from the port area outside McDonalds on Vila Macibich Ibiza Town to San Miguel - twice a day, morning and afternoon. The bus number we believe to be the number 25 (correct in May 2009) San Miguel is a 10 minute drive to the retreat or a 45 minute walk. Taxis can always be booked to/from our retreat. Directions to Villa Palmas, Villa Roca and Benirras Beach Apartments.
Villa Palmas Villa Roca and the Benirras beach apartments are approximately a 30 minute taxi ride from Ibiza airport, at a cost of around £35 (40 Euros each way). There are car hire companies based at the airport and buses that run from Ibiza town to San Miguel: 0034 971 333 333
From the airport follow the signs for Ibiza Town and then for Santa Eularia.
Half way to Santa Eularia turn left at the sign post for Santa Gertrudis and Saint Miquel.
Continue on this main road until you reach the outskirts of Saint Miquel where you will see the towns church in the distance but before you enter the town take the first turning on the right signposted to Benirras Beach.
Follow this road for approximately 3 or 4 km and then at the only cross road take a left hand turn signposted to Benirras beach.
This winding road of approximately 3 km will take you all the way to the beach, as the road levels to sea level and 100m before you reach the beach there is a bridge on the left with a signpost to Port of Saint Miquel.
For Villa Roca and The Pagoda Garden - cross over the bridge and then immediately (20 feet) turn right at the blue stick man sign - the retreat is up to the left nessled amounst the pine trees.
For Villa Palmas - take the road that is oposite the bridge (there is only one) Go 200 metres up this road - do not take the left fork - continue up the steep incline until you reach an entrance on the right hand side drive throught the entrance pass Villa Ibiza on the left and then take the next driveway on the left , do not fork off to the right - pass the swimming pool continue up the drive - you will need 1st gear for this short trip up to a parking spac at the back of Villa Palmas.
The island of Ibiza has a surface area of only 572 km. This means that the greatest distance to be covered by road is 40 km.
