Our Team Ibiza Yoga the Company was Established in 2000. The team members below who help make the company the success that it is today. Their input and that of the teachers is greatly appreciated. All of our team are pretty knowledge friendly and they are available to advise on interesting ways to appreciate the area of Benirras.

Sarah Robbie Sarah owns the company IY with Daniel Harte. Sarah does not teach or live on Ibiza. Info below relates to the start up, origins and background of the company. Sarah started to practice and study 'Hatha Yoga' in 1979 while modelling and living for 5 years in Tokyo Japan. In the early 90's she discovered Ashtanga yoga attending many yoga retreats worldwide and learning from some of the worlds best teachers. She is somewhat of an advanced yoga practitioner. In the 80's Sarah spent many months living and modelling in both Madrid and Barcelona, Ibiza becoming a number one choice location to spend some fun time. Sarah was the first non celebrity to appear on the cover of The Sunday Supplement of the Newspaper El Pais, a small claim to fame !!.(photo below). In the UK she worked with photographers such as David Bailey & Eamonn McCabe. "It had long been a goal of both Dan and myself to offer a place where people can 'come together' to focus their mind and body into a healthy activity. Eat delicious vegetarian food, swim in the nearby sea and breath the fresh mountain air. Have fun and break from ordinary lifestyles to leave refreshed energised and perhaps see life in a fresh new light ". This goal is accomplished with 'Ibiza Yoga' a company in its 12th year. Since 1990 Sarah has also helped to run with 4 - 8 employees Ordinary People Ltd, a London based employment agency she owns. The agency supplies character actors and models to the television and advertising industry. Having supplied between 1 & 100 artistes on over 5,000 individual shoots for work that includes TV Commercials, Pop Promos, Corporate Videos, BBC work and lots of photographic advertising campaigns. Recent credits include: TV Commercials for H&M,Shredded Wheat,Head & Shoulders, Dr Scholl. Pop videos for The Kills, Madonna, Kooks, Sugarbabes, Robbie Williams, George Michael. Daniel Harte DIRECTOR Dan started Ibiza Yoga with Sarah in year 2000 having falling in love with the Island and yoga after spending two weeks at a retreat on the island. The idea of owning and running a yoga retreat fell into place after stumbling over the perfect spot to do so. Benirras was the local beach to the retreat we attended and a house - a hacienda style villa with acres of land was for sale close to the beach that suited the budget. Dan is a Londoner who spent many years living and working in Tel Aviv in the 1980's where he ran his own business. A fully trained master painter and decorator, Dan runs a London based film catering business in the winter while the retreat closes from November to March. Dan started the business with Villa Roca, then obtained Villa Palmas and built the Pagoda Garden at Roca. We took the capacity of the retreat from 10 to 32 guests in 12 years, some say we have the best yoga centre on the Island. You would be hard pressed to find a better location that is for sure. Arlette Co-Manager Arlette joined Ibiza Yoga in 2010 as a Yoga teacher and returned in 2011 as a Teacher and Co Manager for the 2nd half of the season. Arlette grew up in France dividing her time between travels,business studies and contemporary dance. After finishing her studies in International Business at University in France, she moved to London and started a career in Fashion & Business, leaving the dancing years behind. Although the hectic pace of Fashion and London took over for a while, the need to come back to a physical, and by then more holistic expression never left. She once entered an Astanga studio in London, and that was that, there was no looking back. She started a BWY teacher training whilst still working and eventually slowly drifted from fashion and shoes to Yoga studios and teaching. She dicovered Ibiza over 8 years ago, when chasing some September sun and dancing on beaches. Somehow, she landed on Benirras beach... Despite the sounds of the drums, she heard someone talking about a Yoga Centre in the hills behind... and I guess the rest is history! Arlette is looking forward to come back for 2012, managing the centre with the rest of the team, and of course really looking forward to teaching!

Slavka Behanova Chief Holiday Co-ordinator Based in the London office 020 7419 0999 Mon-Fri from 9.30am - 6.00pm Slavka deals mainly with the taking of bookings. Her extensive knowledge of our operational system helps streamline the booking service that we offer. Whether you want an extra nights stay, special dietary requirements, pay in Euros or take yoga in a different villa to the one you are staying in - there is no request of unimportance to us and Slavka takes care of all requirements a guest may have prior to arrival, plus and after care service that may be necessary. Having worked at the retreat for a couple of seasons she can answer any questions on the rooms, the Villas and the Benirras area. Languages include English, Slovakian and basic German. Romi Kovarova assistant holiday coordinator Romi works alongside Slavka in our London office Monday to Friday 10- 6 daily and is available on phone number 020 7267 7007, a line separate to the Ibiza Yoga line. Romi is available to answer any questions regarding room and villa choice. Having spent two seasons working at the retreat she is also familiar with the Benirras area.
